Sanofi’s dedication to diversity and inclusion has led to some remarkable achievements, highlighting the global pharmaceutical company’s commitment to delivering positive impact. Surpassing CEO Paul Hudson’s pledge to double spend with women-owned businesses two years ahead of schedule, totalling €262m. Additionally, the company achieved its €1.5bn target for 2025 in December 2023 – two years ahead of schedule – showcasing the effectiveness of its strategic initiatives.
The overall accomplishment is driven by the E3 strategy that includes raising awareness and creating socioeconomic impact through three simple but powerful pillars: educate; engage; and excel.
The company’s impact extends beyond internal processes, with initiatives such as introducing Kogi Coffee in its Colombia offices, positively impacting 4,000 lives of the Kogi people in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Its strategic alliances with over 10 global and local advocacy groups, emphasise Sanofi’s commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive ecosystem.
Key accomplishments include: integrating diverse suppliers into 68% of RFPs; an 83% increase in Candex usage for enhanced tail spend management; and collaboration with fleet suppliers to convert Tier-2 spend into Tier-1. Streamlining efficiency in the print and media category, the team consolidated 3,700 purchase orders into a single PO, saving 28 days.
Furthermore, the procurement team actively participated in diverse supplier meet and greet events globally, engaging with various advocacy groups.
