MTN’s Procurement Excellence team built a “Google” like search engine for MTN Procurement. Developed 100% in-house, this engine gives instant visibility of all sourcing activities (ongoing, planned & concluded), KPIs, and Supplier Intelligence across 17+ OPCOs and 10+ ERPs in a single cockpit view. More importantly, we are able to predict upcoming procurement events, likely KPIs shortfalls and more in order to give recommendations to reduce anticipated risk.

Buyers are now able to go into the negotiation and get recommendations on negotiation ideas/leverages in one click. This has reduced the time required for negotiation preparation by 95% (from seven days to five seconds). To top it off, we have successfully integrated ChatGPT with our AI assistant bot GeSSicA. We are now using this to get market research and supplier identification for new strategic tenders.

Suppliers are scanned using internal and external data points automatically. Px360 scans internet for supplier-specific news and performs sentiment classification. The governance module scans suppliers against restricted lists (internal and external) using advanced fuzzy match algorithms. Any matches are automatically highlighted to stop the transaction before it is committed. Since Px360 has an inbuilt social network, all the leverages are instantly shared across MTN.
